The back has a yoke-shaped crest rail with decorative carvings at the center. Moldings on the crest rail extend down the rear stiles. The base of the vasiform splat is set into a horizontal rail above the seat. Hand saw marks are visible on the beveled back edges of the splat. The curved arms terminate in scrolled handholds. The turned arm supports are continuous with the front legs and are doweled to the undersides of the arms. The trapezoidal seat is constructed with pinned mortise and tenon joints. The rush seat appears to be original. Baluster-turned front legs are attached to the seat rail with pinned mortise and tenon joints. The squared rear legs rake back at the foot. The rear and side stretchers of the chair are rectangular in shape. The front stretcher is baluster-turned with turned spheres flanking a central ring turning. The stretchers are mortised, tenoned, and pinned to the legs. Mill sawing marks are visible on the inside of the right rear stile and rear stretcher. All four legs terminate in bun feet.
