The contoured, rectangular back has a yoke-shaped crest rail. The rear stiles have flat front surfaces, curved rear surfaces, and taper toward the crest rail. The chair has a solid, vase-shaped back splat. The chair has a compass-shaped slip seat. The lower edges of the front and side seat rails are cut in flattened arches. The cabriole front legs have rounded knees and reverse curved knee brackets that are nailed in place. The rear stump legs appear to be continuous with the stiles.
