The sofa back is rectangular with a flat profile. The shoulders are squared, and there is damage to the right shoulder where it connects to the arm rail. The arms are curved with a scroll carved out of one continuous piece of wood. The arms have smooth edges until the center where the scroll ends and concentric circles are carved in. The right arm has multiple breaks. The rear stiles are joined to the seat rail, and the sofa back is upholstered between the rear stiles. The sofa back has a curved top with panels of veneer with a vertical strip in between. The sofa has a rectangular seat with room for four sitters. The upholstery has been replaced, but it looks as if the original nails were used for the new dust cover. The sofa has two front saber legs and two back stump legs, which are mortise and tenoned at the front and secured in the back with a peg. The front legs have two bands of fluting with a half-round molding to either side of the fluting and around the bottom.
