The top of the work table is rectangular with curved corners with overhanging edges on all sides. There is integral molding along the edges of the table top. There is a nearly square board fixed to the top of the case. There is one hinged leaf to either side of the fixed board. The leaves are held open by curved brackets hinged to the case sides.  The case has two drawers over a drawer that likely once held a textile work bag. The two upper drawers are full-width and veneered in bookmatched mahogany. Each drawer has a keyhole surround and two decorative brass knobs. The lowest drawer is shorter than the other two and veneered with bookmatched mahogany. It has a keyhole surround and two small brass knobs. The case has four legs with reel turnings over tapered, rope-turned shafts. The legs terminate with ball turnings and castors set on tapered square mounts.  According to Elizabeth R.
