Painted surface is black over an earlier green. Top is constructed of bent wood that is mortised and tenoned to the arm rail. The arm rail is constructed of a continuous piece of bent wood that raked up at an angle from the seat on each side. Seven back spindles continue through the arm rail and are tenoned through the crest rail. Each arm has a baluster-turned arm support and two spindles. The arm supports are tenoned through the seat with a wedge. The shaped, saddle seat has a shallow cove groove that outlines the back section of the seat immediately in front of the spindles. Baluster-turned legs are mortised and tenoned through the seat with a wedge. Stretchers form an H-shape. Both side stretchers are secured to the medial stretcher with flathead screws; there is wood loss on the right stretcher. There is a break in the crest rail at the top of the second spindle from the right.
