(55.9 cm), Depth 20.75 in. (52.7 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Mahogany Queen Anne-style side chair. The chair back has a curved profile with a yoke-back crest rail and curved shoulders. The rear stiles are continuous with the back legs. There is a break with a possible repair in the crest rail. There is also a repair at the top of the splat. The splat is a vase form with chamfering at the back, as well as on the back of the stiles. The splat is inserted into a shoe, which is nailed to the top of the seat rail.    The trapezoidal slip seat has modern upholstery. The seat does not have corner blocks, but nail holes and glue residue suggest they were once used. The front seat rail is shaped with ogee curves on either side of a semi-circle. The side rails also have an ogee curve. The back rail is straight.    The two front legs are cabriole with ogee knee blocks with integral pad feet whose pads have been worn down. The back legs are stump legs, and are rectangular until right below the seat when the legs change to a plain circular turning before transitioning to a baked back block foot with chamfering on the inner edges. The legs are all attached with pegged tenons. The right rear leg has evidence of a repair where it is joined to the seat rail. The chair has H-stretchers with an additional stretcher between the back legs above them. The medial and rear stretchers have a swell at the center, while the side stretcher are baluster turned. They are attached with wedged pin tenons.
