(89.9 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Mahogany Pembroke table with two hinged falling leaves attached to a fixed, rectangular top. Drop leaves lift to create an oval when open and meet fixed board at rule joints. Outer edges of fixed board and leaves are half-rounded. Edges overhang on all sizes. Fixed board is attached to frame with screws in pockets. Frame is mortise and tenoned to legs. Swing rail is attached to fixed rail with rounded knuckle joint and it appears to be glued to side framing board. End of swing rail is chamfered and has carved hand holds. Case sides each have two boards, one fixed and one swing. Case front has one drawer at center front. Case back made from one horizontal board attached to legs with mortise and tenon joint reinforced with glue blocks. Case back is rounded slightly and is veneered. Table has four therm legs. Therm legs are only tapered and chamfered along the interior edges. Table has a cross or x serpentine stretcher. Sides of stretcher rails are straight and top and bottom edges of stretcher rails are cut to create serpentine shape. Stretchers are notched at intersection and a small screw helps hold rails in securely place.    Drawer rests on original runners in case. Runners are attached with hand-wrought nails. Runners stop slightly before corner blocks, which double as drawer stops. Drawer front is slightly curved from a solid piece of wood and the exterior is veneered. Sides and back are flush with front. Drawer front is attached to side with half-blind dovetail and back is attached with a dovetail. Drawer bottom is let into groove in sides and nailed to underside of back and front. Top front rail has single tenon attachment into legs. Bottom front rail is double tenoned into legs and mirrors curved profile of drawer front.    Drawer has original drop pull. Surface hinges on underside of top.
