Overall green paint treatment. The frame of the daybed is attached with pinned mortise and tenon joints that are reinforced with nails and screws in some areas. The headboard stiles are continuous with the rear stiles. While the headboard is a flat board, it is bent backwards at an angle from the top of the frame. The top of the serpentine arched crest rail has washers and screws reinforcements on the back side. There is an acorn finial at the top of the rear stiles. The backboard has a squared upholstered panel with the top arching with the crest rail. Around the outline of the back, there is a row of round headed, decorative upholstery tacks. The surface for bedding is set into the frame. Separate mattress, later addition, on top of the cover and webbing. Wooden slats across the frame add support to the reclining surface. The rear legs are squared posts that are slightly racked back. The other six legs are baluster-turned legs that terminate with a small variation of a bun foot, which is integral to the leg. The six baluster legs are doweled to the frame. On each side of the daybed, there are three vase and ring turned stretchers (one between each leg), a front and rear stretcher with bulbous turnings, as well as two medial stretchers that mirror the front and rear stretcher.    In the center of the underside of the frame, there are two broken tenons. They are directly across from one another.
