The short sides of the tablet have two inward facing scrolls with papyrus or lotus flower motifs. In the center of the tablet is a rectangle of veneer with concave sides. The replaced horsehair upholstery on the slip seat did not allow for catalogers to view the joints of the slip seat. The front seat rail has an applied mahogany molding. The rear seat rail is veneered with mahogany. The slip seat rests on shaped glue blocks.
