The screen is an oval made from a single board, the center of which appears to have repairs resulting from the adjustable bracket unit?ÇÖs screws piercing the surface. The adjustable bracket attaches to a rectangular piece of wood on the screen?ÇÖs rear surface. The metal backplate is screwed to the rectangular piece of wood with two screws. Two metal rings attach the backplate to the pole and facilitate the screen sliding up and down the pole. The bracket has an additional metal piece that is possibly a tension mechanism for keeping the screen in place when adjusted to the desirable height. A decorative wooden acorn finial completes the top of the pole. The pole shows signs of wear consistent with the screen being adjusted repeatedly. The pedestal is a single turned piece of wood with additional crude scallops carved at the bottom between each of the three legs. Three sabre legs are attached with sliding dovetails that are reinforced with glue, screws and nails. The legs are decorated with light colored string inlay that forms a rectangle that is closed at the bottom and open at the top. Each leg ends in a square pad.
