When fully open, the tabletop is rectangular with rounded corners. The top is composed of one fixed rectangular board faced with two identical vertical veneers and two hinged rectangular leaves with rounded exterior corners, each composed of one board and faced with an identical vertical veneer. The central veneered panels are surrounded with dark stringing. The top has overhanging edges at the front and back terminating in an integral cove and half-round molding. The top is attached to the table with glue blocks and screws in pockets. The tulipwood table frame is rectangular and assembled with mortise and tenon joints. One curved support is cut into each side of the frame for the leaves. The supports have wooden hinges and carved interior grooves that serve as handles. Mahogany boards attached with single large dovetails run across the bottom of the frame. The table has four drawer fronts--two on either long side--with lion?ÇÖs head brass knobs, but two of them are false. The false drawer fronts are surrounded with illusory dark stringing. The frame holds two drawers; one drawer pulls out on each side of the table. One of the drawer knobs is missing. The front and back of the frame has dark stringing at the bottom edge and a dark Greek key pattern inlaid on either side of the drawers. The legs project out from a single board mortise and tenoned to either side of the table frame. The thin front and back faces of the board are decorated with two rectangles of dark stringing. At the intersection of the legs and this board, the joint is surrounded with double bead molding. A single turned stretcher extends between the two upper boards. The stretcher is swelled at the center, culminating in a central decorative ring. The legs are attached to a central board below the double bead molding with a concave bottom edge. They are affixed with sliding dovetails and secured with brackets. One of the legs has broken and been repaired, and the brackets were likely added later to support the legs. The legs have curved triangles and small diamonds of dark inlay on their top faces. The legs terminate with brass paw castors.    The two drawers, which open on either side of the table, are faced with horizontal veneer. The sides are full height and constructed with dovetails. The drawer bottoms are composed of two boards with grain running from side to side and chamfering at the fronts and sides. The drawer bottoms are nailed to the undersides of the backs. The drawers rest on runners attached to the sides with sliding dovetails and dovetailed to the front and back rails. The top and bottom rails and vertical dividers are attached with half-blind sliding dovetails.
