The lid has quarter-round molding around the edges and an urn-shaped keyhole surround. The interior has a central prospect door with an inset blocked front surmounted by a carved fan and a narrow vertical keyhole surround. The door is flanked by vertical document drawers with turned half columns on the front. The drawers are flanked by four pigeonholes with scrolled valances over two drawers with blocked fronts and round pulls. This in turn is flanked by six drawers with inset blocked fronts surmounted by fan carving. The case has four graduated drawers with cock-bead molding around the openings. The drawers have urn-shaped escutcheons and bail pulls. Ogee-and-quarter-round molding tops a narrow skirt with a scrolled pendant.
