Providentially Mr Wiliams, had taken a seat on the Box - . He remonstrated, that   the Ladies would be much terrified, but his entreaties were of no avail, and fearing   the consequence, he resolutely rested the Reins from the Villain, - receiving from   him, a hearty â€œDamn ye, for thatâ€ - Stopping soon after, to water the Horses - (with   Mr. Bogerts permission) I raised my voice, to the highest pitch of female   eloquence,) affecting to be the infuriated Woman, and I think I did justice to my   part on the Scene.  The other Females, with approving voices, sanctioned the   resolution, of having the Driver discharged from his Post - however we were   appeased with the promise of another Driver, and that the like should not occur   again. It created an interest, by   having been the scene of Mr. Williams boyhood - return, and take Tea, with Mrs.   Phillipps, in company with several Ladies of the Village.  W.d Rise at Â¼ past 4 Oâ€™Clck - having another opportunity of Canal travelling -   embark for Oswego, on Lake Ontario at 5 O.Clck. found on board Mr. Walton, and   four Nieces. Visited the   splendid Steam Boat, Great Britain - viewed with admiration, the great Lake   Ontario - dined and took Tea, at the Willard Hotel - but not being at all satisfied   with our accommodations, which were very inferior - we resolved to return in the   Canal Packet - embarking for Syracuse at 5 O.Clck - gave me an opportunity of   testing night travelling - which I confess is rather tight squeezing-.
