The circular head has a hinged glass door and a brass bezel which opens by a latch. The dial has Roman numerals and hands with arrow tips and a winding hole. Inscribed on the dial is the maker's name.    The throat has a trapezoidal reverse-painted glass panel set in a frame with molding along the edges. The panel is painted in a classical motif against a white background. Brass sidearms flank the throat.    The pendulum box has a rectangular reverse-painted glass panel set in a frame with molding along the edges. The painting depicts a port with ships and an eagle above.    As of 1971, the clock was in original condition according to dealer W.J.
