(47.6 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Bow-back Windsor chair constructed of black walnut, white oak, and white pine. The bentwood back of the chair is tenoned into the seat. The front surface of the bentwood back is decorated with moldings. The back of the chair has seven spindles that are tenoned through the top of the chair back. The saddle-shaped seat has a shallow cove outlining the perimeter of the spindles. Pit-sawing marks are visible on the underside of the seat. The baluster-turned legs are tenoned through the seat. The turnings include disc elements with a center swell. The stretchers, assembled in an H-shape, are turned with bulbous centers. On the medial stretcher, ring turnings flank the bulbous center.
