Surface hinges attach demilune-shaped leaves to either side of a central fixed board. Plane marks are visible on the underside of the table top. The fixed board is secured to the table frame with nails. Multiple nails are missing. The nails appear old and worn. The undersides of the edges of the table top are chamfered. The rectangular table frame is joined with pinned mortise and tenons. There is half-round molding along the bottom front edges of the front and rear rails of the frame.    The table has four baluster-turned fixed legs and two baluster-turned gate legs. The fixed legs are mortised, tenoned, and pinned to the table frame. The gate legs are attached to the table frame with dowels. Baluster-turned stretchers connect the fixed legs. The lower sections of the gate legs are also baluster-turned. The stretchers on the upper sections of the gate legs are rectangular. All stretchers are mortised, tenoned, and pinned into place. The front left stretcher has severe damage and wood loss and is repaired with a dowel. There is evidence of a previous powder post beetle infestation throughout the piece, particularly on the legs and stretchers. The front left leg and gate legs are now supported with metal sheets. The fixed legs and gate legs terminate in bun feet.    The front of the table is fitted with one drawer. The drawer front is solid and missing its hardware. The drawer sides come to full height. The drawer bottom is composed of three boards with the grain running side to side. Nails attach the sides of the drawer to the back, as well as the sides of the drawer to the front. The bottom of the drawer is nailed at the front, sides, and back. The drawer rests on original runners that are nailed into place. There are two drawer stops at the back of the drawer. The bottom front rail below the drawer is mortised, tenoned, and pinned into place."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/17/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"None
