Surmounting the upper section is a pediment consisting of two dragon-like creatures flanking a shield and an emblematic figure. The cornice has decorative molding and carvings with gadrooning and bead-and-reel molding. Below the cornice is a recessed shelf and mirror flanked by seated griffins. Carved, quarter-round molding trims the shelf and is supported by posts with brackets, block plinths, and fluted ball turnings, forming a second shelf. The baseboard is carved with a foliate design. Flanking the central unit of the upper section is a curved base board with volute molding that reaches the height of the turned posts to the second shelf of the upper section. Carved plinths with trefoil tops stand at the back corners of two additional shelves flanking the second shelf. Decorative molding trims the edges of the second shelf; below it is a frieze with a carved face and foliate relief with bead-and-reel molding along the bottom of the frieze and additional carved faces on either side of the frieze. The lower section consists of a central prospect unit with paneled and molded doors with a keyhole. Colonnades flank the doors and have carved capitals and plinths from the frieze of the upper section to the floor. Along the bottom of the case is bead-and-reel molding. Below the doors is an open shelf with carved spandrels. Flanking the central prospect unit is double stacked shelves with molded edges. The bottom trim is carved with round and beveled molding, crosshatching carvings, roundels, and lines. Two bun feet are at front (at the end of the colonnades) with at minimum two additional bun feet on the right and left sides. There is some damage to the base."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/20/2018"},{"label":"Materials","value":"Teak; Glass"},{"label":"Style","value":["Renaissance Revival"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Date range based on active working dates of attributed maker, as well as Skinner's assessment that the object was made in the late 19th century."},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1875 - D:00 M:00 Y:1888"},{"label":"Basis of Origin","value":"Bancroft & Dyer were active in Boston as cabinetmakers from 1877-1888."},{"label":"Place of Origin","value":"Boston, Massachusetts"},{"label":"Basis of Maker Attribution","value":"Attributed to Bancroft & Dyer by Robert F.
