The upholstered back has a slight arch along the crest rail. Upholstered vertical wings extend forward from either side of the back. The top and front-facing edges of the wings are faced with reeded mahogany. Short, reeded arms curve downward from the tops of the wings to meet arm supports that are continuous with the front legs. The seat is upholstered over the rail. The lower edges of the front seat rail is outlined with decorative brass tacks. The bulbous arm supports are reeded above rectangular corner posts. The fronts of the corner posts are veneered with light wood. Below the posts, the turned legs taper and are reeded. Two additional front legs have the same design. All four front legs terminate in turned, tapering feet and castors in cup mounts.
