The top is square with serpentine-shaped sides and front edge. The top has one fixed, rectangular board with a rectangular hole in the center. This hole was fitted and chamfered to accept the tin tray. The tin tray is painted black with pierced frame. The fixed board is attached with screws in pockets and glue blocks. On each side, there is a rectangular leaf with serpentine edges that is attached to the fixed board with surface hinges. The rectangular frame is constructed with pinned mortise and tenon joints. The legs extend the length of the frame. Butterfly supports on each side are connected with knuckle hinges. The side rail is nailed to support the rail. All four cabriole legs are attached with pinned mortise and tenon joints. There is a decorative ridge at each of the knees.
