A trapezoidal plinth surmounts the circular drumhead. A gilded acorn finial is mounted at the top of the plinth. The hinged drumhead door has a metal bezel with decorative molding and opens to reveal a clock face with Roman numerals, pierced hands, and a winding hole. Under the axis of the hands is inscribed: [Hinckley]. The throat of the clock is lyre-shaped with a wood frame and carved volutes at the neck and acanthus leaves at the base. Within the frame is glass reverse-painted with a central classical motif against a white background. The throat is mounted to a shallow trapezoidal platform just above the pendulum box. The pendulum box is framed in a light colored wood with a reverse-painted glass panel. The glass has a central field of a gold and black foliate design bordered in black against a white background. Beneath the pendulum box is a trapezoidal wooden bracket that supports an acorn-shaped drop finial."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"12/4/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Inscribed on dial: [Hinckley]."},{"label":"Basis of Materials","value":"Mahogany identified as primary material according to Skinner, Inc."},{"label":"Materials","value":"Mahogany; Brass; Glass; Gilding; Paint"},{"label":"Style","value":["Empire"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Approximate date of 1825 provided by Skinner, Inc.
