The top of the chair back has a crest tablet, inlaid, with double-ogee ends and a raised panel. From the crest is carved drapery and volute spandrels. The sloped stiles are molded on the edges and are continuous with the side rails of the seat frame. The slip seat is trapezoidal. The front of the seat rail is gadrooned with a central foliate carving. A leaf carving decorates the top of the front legs, which are bead-molded on the edges.
