The ??tag?¿re consists of rectangular sections of stiles and shelves that are attached with mortise and tenon joints. The top is one fixed, rectangular board that is structurally integral to the piece and attached with glue blocks. The board has a slight overhang on all sides. The stiles extend above the top board and terminate in ball finials. The top has a skirt on all four sides with arches and tapered, cyma-curved drops. All shelves are composed of one board with drawers connected to the bottoms of the third and fifth shelves. The drawers have horizontal veneer on the front with full-height drawer sides. The exterior sides of the drawer backs are planed. The drawer bottoms are each constructed of two boards. The bottoms are then chamfered on the fronts and sides, let into grooves on the sides and fronts, and then nailed into the undersides of the backs. The drawers each rest on runners with top and bottom front rails that are attached to the sides with mortise and tenon joints. The stiles of the piece are four, turned columns that run between the shelves. Below the fifth shelf, the feet of the ??tag?¿re consist of two ring turnings followed by a tapered columnar foot.    The top shelf is split lengthwise in the center of the shelf. The second shelf is split lengthwise near the front of the piece. The third shelf has a horizontal split with a thin strip of wood filling the split.
