The interior has eight pigeonholes with scrolled valances and dividers, over four drawers with round metal knobs; these flank vertical document drawers with turned half columns with ball finials. At center, a drawer with a scrolled bottom edge is positioned over a pigeonhole, underneath which is a slightly recessed drawer. The lid, lopers, and drawers have quarter-round molded edges; the four graduated drawers have escutcheons and bail pulls, and the lid has a matching keyhole surround. Ogee-and-quarter-round molding forms a narrow skirt.
