The edge of the table top has cross banding bordered by light wood stringing. The table top has one fixed board and one hinged leaf; both are made from a single board. The table top overhangs the apron on all sides. The fixed table top is attached to the apron with screws fitted into screw pockets. The folding leaf is attached with original card table hinges.    The curve of the apron is built up through lamination at the front and sides. The apron is joined with mortise and tenon joints with the exception of the through dovetail joint between the side rail and the end rail behind the swing leg. The swing rail is joined to the fixed hinge rail with a knuckle joint and a wood pintle. Corner blocks with screws further secure the top to the apron. The rectangular tablet at the center of the apron front is applied and protrudes from the apron surface. The rosewood cartouche and surrounding panel are bordered by alternating light and dark wood stringing. The cartouche is surrounded by miter joined satinwood inlay.    The therm legs are attached to the case by mortise and tenon joints. The legs extend through the apron to meet the top, with the top portion raised above the surface of the apron. The tops of the legs have a vertically-oriented rosewood cartouche surrounded by light and dark wood stringing. The fronts of the legs are faced with inlaid satinwood panels surrounded by light and dark wood stringing.
