Unable to discern the wood type due to overall, black paint treatment, but the chair has a rush seat. The rectangular back has a curved profile. Yoke-back crest rail with curved shoulders. Rear stiles are continuous with the back legs and joined to the seat rail. Vasiform splat with floral and fruit stencil decoration. Framed, trapezoidal seat with rush covering that is likely replaced. Serpentine, curved arms that are tenoned to the rear stiles and terminate in inward scrolling handholds. The tops of the arms have gold stenciling. The front legs have ball and square turnings. The rear legs are squared and racked back. The front and side stretchers have decorative turnings. The rear stretcher is squared. The fronts of the legs have squared blocks, which are outlined in gold stenciling. The front legs terminate in Spanish feet. Due to the rush seat, catalogers were only able to complete a limited evaluation of the construction methods used.
