(61 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Queen Anne-style, blockfront desk-and-bookcase made of mahogany primary wood with red oak and white pine secondary woods.  Surmounting the upper case is a molded cornice with bold baroque carvings on the broken-scroll pediment. At the front and center of the pediment are turned urn-and-flame finials on plinths. Below the center finial are foliate carvings. Around the tympanum is stringing. The string-inlaid arched bookcase doors are mirrored, fitted with shaped escutcheons with keyholes, and flanked by fluted pilasters. Below the doors is a fall-front lid with a shaped escutcheon and a keyhole. The lower case holds four graduated drawers that conform to the curves of the blockfront, each string-inlaid with shaped escutcheons, bail pulls, and keyholes. There is decorative molding along the base. The feet are bracket. On the sides of the upper and lower cases are escutcheons and bail pulls.
