The desk interior has a central prospect unit with prospect door with inset, blocked shell carving flanked by two document drawers with applied columnar turnings. Two each side of the prospect unit is a row of four pigeonholes surmounting two pairs of stacked, blockfront drawers. The interior drawers each have a single brass knob.  Below the desk surface, the case has four graduated, blockfront drawers. The uppermost drawer is flanked by lopers, each of which has a single knob. The drawers each have a shaped escutcheon and two bail pulls with back plates of the same design as the escutcheons. The molding along the side and front lower edges of the case follows the profile of the case front. There is a shaped drop at the center of the case skirt.
