A scrolled pediment with a central platform crowns the clock (a finial may have once been attached to the platform). The body of the clock is one, rectangular component with a hinged door that opens to reveal the inner workings. A circular window at the top of the door reveals the clock face with a winding hole. Arabic numerals denote time via the clock face. A second circular window at the bottom of the door reveals the pendulum. A winding tool is attached to the inside of the bottom pendulum window.  Inside the door, the clock components are attached with nails. The weight baffle is inscribed: [Warranted by E. Taber / Union Street Roxbury]. A hook-and-eye latch is used to secure the door.
