The tabletop is octagonal with elongated sides and significant sun bleaching on the top. The top is edged with contrasting wood, likely ash. Two wedge-shaped cleats with beveled edges screwed to the underside of the table along the long axis of the top. One cleat has been repaired. A wooden pintle extends from the pedestal block into mortises in the cleats to create the hinge for the top. An iron latch is screwed into the underside of the tabletop to secure the table in the horizontal position. The pedestal is secured to the pedestal block with a wedged, square through tenon. The pedestal is turned into a tapering cylindrical form with a series of approximately ten prominent rings at the bottom above a spool shape.
