The central, fixed, table-top board believed to be replaced. Surface hinges attach demi-lune-shaped leaves to either side of a narrow, fixed board. The hinges appear to be old, but are fitted for the replaced table-top rather than the sides. One of the demi-lune leaves is warped. The table top is attached to the base using screws fitted into screw pockets. The frame of the table is composed of two boards screwed or nailed together, then screwed to the table top.    The table has two fixed legs and two gate legs, all of which have baluster- and ring-turned centers flanked by squared sections. The two fixed legs are nailed and screwed to either end of the frame. A baluster-turned stretcher is mortised, tenoned, and pinned into the fixed legs near the feet. The two fixed legs terminate in ogee trestle feet. The trestle feet are pinned, mortised, and tenoned to the fixed legs. One side is missing the pin.    The two gate legs are each constructed with two vertical, turned elements joined by two narrow stretchers. One vertical component of each leg is doweled to the table frame and lower stretcher, allowing the gate leg to swing. The second vertical component notched at the top and bottom, allowing the gate leg to swing parallel to the frame and the leaf to drop, and terminates in a bun foot. The top stretcher of each gate leg is rectangular; the lower stretcher is baluster-turned. The table has a dark finish.
