The ends of the crest rail are fixed to the side stiles. The side stiles are block-, spool-, and ring-turned and topped by small urn-and-ball finials. The stiles are continuous with the legs and terminals, which are stump and cant backward. The long, rectangular seat frame is molded along the outside, upper edge. Ten bipartite stretchers, six side stretchers (three on each side) and four transverse stretchers (including one at the front) are all spool-turned at center and double-ball-turned with reel turnings and arrow tips. The side stretchers are joined to the upper leg blocks and the transverse stretchers are joined to the lower leg blocks. The bed stands on six block-and-baluster-on-ring-turned legs with ball feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"1/30/2019"},{"label":"Materials","value":"Unidentified wood; Unidentified textile; Upholstery materials"},{"label":"Style","value":["William and Mary"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Approximate date range is based on characteristics of design and construction."},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1680 - D:00 M:00 Y:1720"},{"label":"Basis of Origin","value":"Place of origin determined by Brock Jobe (2015)."},{"label":"Place of Origin","value":"Boston, Massachusetts"},{"label":"Object Type","value":["Daybed"]},{"label":"Object Use","value":"Sleeping and reclining furniture"},{"label":"Category","value":"Furniture"},{"label":"Title","value":"Daybed"},{"label":"Date Modified","value":"1/30/2019"}],"description":"Daybed","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Daybed","height":1165,"width":1500,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1165,"width":1500},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/04b23c51-fd2b-47be-ae09-92cb71c6ad7b/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/logo"}
