(54.6 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Elizabethan Revival-style, straight-front desk constructed of mahogany and curly maple.  The case has a flat top, three drawers side-by-side at the top, a panel which folds down to provide a writing surface, and three graduated drawers. All of the drawers have cock-bead molding around the edges and turned wooden knobs flanking keyholes. The panel has wool baize on the writing surface. Four sets of two stacked pigeonholes with curly maple-veneer, ogee valances alternate with stacked drawers of four with curly maple-veneered fronts and knobs. A central prospect unit has a door with a diamond-shaped keyhole surround. When open, the locking mechanisms, hinges, and metal hardware are visible.
