The case top is made of one board that is structurally integral to the piece and attached with glue blocks. The top has overhanging edges on all four sides with an integral, quarter-round molding. The case sides are each made of two boards with squared front edges. The case back is constructed of one board with a horizontal grain that is attached with pinned mortise and tenons. The front of the case includes four drawers and a skirt. The skirt has two acorn drops, both replaced, which flank the center of the case. The cabriole legs extend the length of the case and the case sides are mortise and tenoned to the legs. The four pad feet are integral to the legs. The brasses on the drawers have engraved decoration. The drawers are veneered with a central veneer panel outlined with stringing.
