The long held and widely accepted unified theory of AGN holds that AGN are fundamentally the same structurally; that the differences observed in various classes of AGN can be explained by differences in luminosity and orientation angle alone. Specifically, the theory explains that type 1 AGN which contain very broad emission lines and type 2 AGN which do not are the same. The inner regions of both sources are surrounded by an optically thick obscuring torus. In type 2 AGN, the torus is oriented such that the view to the central region, where the broad lines are produced, is blocked. In type 1, conversely, the torus is oriented face-on such that the view is not blocked. However, there is growing evidence that the unified theory does not explain all AGN. For instance, some type 2 AGN do not exhibit broad spectral lines and show no indication of significant absorbing material in the line of sight. We present on a systematic search for more of these \"true\" type 2 AGN using archival Chandra X-ray Observatory and Sloan Digital Sky Survey data. We select those sources whose optical spectra show no evidence of broad emission lines and whose X-ray spectra show no evidence of significant absorption (column densities < 5E20). We find seven such sources. These sources present an exciting opportunity to further understand the \"AGN zoo\" and test theories of AGN evolution.
