Pennsylvania April 25, 1759 5 Pounds Fr. PA-102. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. This is a very distinctive Franklin and Hall printed note using a two-color process. The face of the note is featured on the color plates on page 53 of the fifth edition of The Early Paper Money of America. The highest denomination from the act. The face layout is similar to others from the period, but there is interspersed red text within the black text and border cuts. The top border is red. The back also has a red denomination and counterfeit warning with the nature print in between. Plate A. Three nicely penned signatures are at the bottom. This is noted with \"Small Edge Splits; Minor Mounting Remnants on Back.\" A superior note of this major type and with very vibrant color. Much bolder than the plate B note we sold in Newman Part VII for $940 in October 2015. A top-caliber note exemplifying the Franklin and Hall two-color printing technique. Ex: Eric P.
