Friedberg 65 has always been an intriguing number, with rather abnormal census figures. Although only 70 examples are known in all grades combined, they cluster very tightly at the top of the condition census, with the vast majority grading from Almost Uncirculated to Choice New. In fact, this Friedberg number is far rarer in circulated than high grades, with only a handful of notes available to collectors of high-end circulated pieces.
