PCGS Very Fine 30.  The Cook & Brother issues are popular, and there are many variants to collect. This issuer played an important role in the Civil War. It was the largest private manufacturer of small rifles and carbines for the Confederacy. At the end of April in 1862, the city of New Orleans fell to the Union and this company was forced to relocate to Athens, Georgia. This $2 is printed on yellow paper without imprint. Arm and hammer, plow and ship are in the center, with title above and obligation below. The left end shows the crossed rifles seen on this series. A green protector TWO is at the bottom.
