This important and charming little scrip note shows the stagecoach driver cracking the whip at top center. Printed on gray paper. Receivable for \"Freights\" or \"Confederate funds.\" The back is printed in red with the denomination, flourishes, and \"Green T. Hill\" in script. According to the Congressional Series of Public Documents from 1858-9, Hill had the contract to carry the U.S. mail three times a week between Tuscaloosa and Columbus. Noted by PCGS are: \"Tape Repairs on Back; Piece Missing at Left; Stains.\" Another rarity-7 note. This and the following Newman Collection note are the first we have cataloged. Ex: Eric P.
