CAC. WB-101. More than 2.5 million pieces were struck of the 1847-O half dollar, yet only 50 or so examples are finer than AU58. This piece shows just a slight bit of friction over the leg of Liberty on the obverse and tips of the feathers on the reverse. Deep blue-gray toning is seen over most of the obverse with occasional flashes of original brilliance.
