We believe there are no issued notes from this bank that used red protectors. The illustrated $1 proof in both references, Haxby and Krause, is from the Wisconsin Historical Society's sheet ($1-$1-$3-$5). This masterfully styled India paper proof on cardstock was engraved and printed by Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co. This \"B\" position note shows a Native American man on a hill overlooking a scenic river view. Interestingly, the vignette was also used for the What Cheer Bank of Rhode Island. Intricate counters are in all corners. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made.
