St. Louis, (M.T.) - Bank of Missouri $5 Feb. 1, 1820 MO-30 G20a. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. The Bank of Missouri $5 notes have been studied by Eric carefully, and there is an additional plate diagnostic observed in comparing the \"B\" and \"C\" plate positions. The Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. plate positions appear identical, but at the upper right, the engraved \"and\" is slightly downward from the merchandise above it on the \"B\" plate. Style and designs are similar to other denominations in the series. The Jefferson bust vignette at top center has JEFFERSON straight across (not arced) and intricate end panels show \"FIVE\" left and \"MISSOURI\" right. In the obligation, \"bearer\" is engraved. Plate B. No. 1754. Signed by Langham as cashier and Aug. Choteau as bank president. The note was issued to L. Bonpart. Noted with \"Mounting Remnants on Back.\" A small ink spot is at the left end lathe panel, but the note is not endorsed on the back and has a clean face. A solid example in well above average grade.
