This is a tie note with Richmond and was payable at the Pairo office. The bold title PENINSULA BANK is across, and a small profile of a dog's head is at top center. The obligation is across the bottom center. At lower left are three opened oysters. The very bold signature of Chas. H. Wynne is at the lower right. Noted as \"Backed,\" but very bright from the face. This note is much superior to the only example we have cataloged from the series, also a 50 cents, which realized $763.75. This lovely note is a fitting finale to the many fascinating Virginia rarities unveiled from the Newman Collection albums. Ex: Eric P.
