PCGS Good 4 Apparent.  A very rare note and more than enough of it is present to make it very collectible. This Type I note from the series was printed on thin paper without an imprint and shows a partially written date. The title is at the top, \"50 Cents.\" is in a cartouche at left and FIFTY CENTS is perpendicular at the right end. A flourish can be seen to the left of the word \"Jackson\" in script. The signature of Green is still very sharp. We have handled two other notes from the issuer from different series. A $3 note graded Fine 15 Apparent sold for $1,410 at the 2015 FUN auction. The other example was a 50 cents in a different style graded Fine 12 Apparent; it sold for $2,530 at the September 2013 Long Beach auction. The \"Good 4\" is accurate and it is noted as \"Backed,\" which was done in the period to extend its circulation. This might be a discovery example and is the first we have seen. Ex: Eric P.
