PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.  Odd denomination notes have held the interest of Obsolete collectors for a long time. Roger H. Durand's first book of his thirteen topical subject titles, Interesting Notes About Denominations (1988, Author), provides collectors with a primer on this fascinating genre. The North Carolina and rarer Virginia notes using $6, $7, $8, and $9 plate configurations are excellent to collect. This is an attractive example from the Danforth, Wright & Co. printed series. Loggers are at work at the top center. Upper corners have intricate, but slightly different, \"8\" counters. A red EIGHT protector is at the bottom. Noted with a \"Small Edge Split at Right,\" which is difficult to see from the face. Excellent eye appeal with vibrant protector color. Ex: Eric P.
