PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.  A second genuine $1 note, but with letter A. Printed by the American Bank Note Co., with vignettes as on the previous. Signed by Ernest W. Sussisky as elected treasurer. Sussisky took notes, using them to speculate in stock. His $20,000 loss was covered because he was a bonded elected official. (Sussisky was later convicted of, then pardoned for, embezzlement.) No. 59277. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" with star-shaped holes, \"Small Edge Splits; Hinge Repair on Back; Pinholes.\" Only one hole is on the vignette, and this example is in well above average grade for the scarce $1 notes from this issue.
