Rust 230, Nyholm 307. PCGS Very Good 10 Apparent.  This is an extremely rare dollar-denominated note from this known series and the first we have cataloged or viewed in person. It is in a wider format than the change notes. Lithographed with a back imprint of Gast St. L. N.Y. S.F. on white paper, like the \"Meat\" notes. The common layout was still used, as seen on the other the notes from this issuer. Across from the curving title at the top left, the denomination as \"$1\" is seen on the counter. The die in the center shows the textual denomination outlined by the background. A beehive is at the lower left. A stamped date is at the bottom. The note is hand-signed by W. B. Preston. The Mormon Tabernacle is depicted on the back center. There were certainly very few of the dollar denominations issued; the hand-signing would have been time consuming. Noted with \"Edge Splits and Tears; Tape Repairs; Pinholes.\" It faces up fairly well overall. Despite some condition faults, a very important note for the specialist Ex: Eric P.
