Proof. PCGS Very Choice New 64.  This is the highest denomination from the series and the only known example in private hands to our knowledge. Beautifully engraved and printed by Toppan, Carpenter & Co. on India paper mounted on original cardstock. The style is very distinctive, with an \"X\" formation composed of the three-portrait array, upper corner dies and the bottom center comptroller's seal. In contrast to the $1 denomination, the vignettes here show oval portraits of three finely dressed and diversely coiffed women. The woman at center has flowers elaborately adorning her hair and dress. At lower left is a more somberly dressed woman wearing earrings and at lower right, a frequently encountered woman with her hand at her chin. Advanced vignette researchers would consider the lower left portrait as custom to the bank; we are not familiar with it. Essentially, like so many of these magnificent Wisconsin proofs, a unique example now available to collectors. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made.
