PCGS Very Fine 30.  An attractive $10 type note from the series signed by Auguste Chouteau, the founder of St. Louis. The common styling by Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. shows the iconic themes, but uses different positioning. The common vignette, showing a bust of Jefferson on a pedestal and a capped liberty pole behind, is now at the lower center. The name \"Jefferson\" is straight across under the base. Barrels, crates, sacks, bales, and beehives are at the shore. Four ships are at sail in the background. At the horizon are mountain peaks, with the radiant sun rising. Numeric counters are at each side near the top. Intricate end panels show cartouches. The perpendicular denomination is at the left, and MISSOURI at the right. The note has sharp printing and excellent paper body, but we note there is penned court endorsement on the plain back that shows to the face at the right center. Ex: Eric P.
