Remainder. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 PPQ.  This is a very rare and early Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. printed series and perhaps the only use of \"Christian\" as bank title in Obsolete currency. An unissued remainder, it was printed on banknote bond paper, and likely saved as a sample. One of the rarest denomination notes from the series, and not illustrated in Haxby or Hughes' Kentucky reference. A gentle shepherdess tends her flock in the top center vignette. She holds a crook in one hand and pats an animal with the other. Spiral lathe work is at the left end, and intricate panel at the right shows perpendicular KENTUCKY. A crisp and bold note; the paper has visible blue threads seen from the blank back. The first $20 from this bank we have cataloged. Ex: Eric P.
