PCGS Very Fine 30.  This is the last Parish of Union note from the Newman Collection, presenting a final opportunity for collectors to obtain this key issuer. The condition is superb, adding to its remarkableness. Printed on brown paper, in the narrower format and without imprint. A plow motif is featured on this note above the title. Obligations are across the bottom center with the written date. The year, 1862, is engraved. The rounded corner border has floral accents. The red countersignature is vertical across the face. There are few notes known from the series, and this might be the finest. Though multiple folds are visible from the back, the face is boldly printed and widely margined.
